In the spring of 2007, a charismatic Siberian Husky named Keane was born —Keane was named after the band and later after he grew into his personality his owners Michael Normore and Sari Gabbay knew more and more how fitting that rock star name was.

Michael Normore, founder of Keane Collars spent his days as a mechanical engineer building HVAC systems. After years of working in a 9-5 job it was becoming more apparent that this was not his life calling. One day when walking Keane in the park and trying to get that stubborn little bugger to stop pulling, Michael was told by a trainer to purchase a front leading harness. He searched high and low for one that would work well and still look great on Keane, but alas ended up with a bright red nylon harness that was quickly devoured by Keane's temperamental ways.

It was then, that Michael decided he would design his own harness for Keane made out of quality leather material and solid metal parts. And the rest as they say was history, after many prototypes the front leading harness was created and that's when Michael realized he wanted to dedicate his life to creating dogwear and accessories that would be comfortable, durable and beautifully designed to enhance the look of any dog.

Thus Michael quit his job and together with Keane in 2009, they founded Keane Collars all "for the love of dogs"
